There are a team of qualified nurses who provide a wide variety of services such as health promotion, dressings, ECG’s, vaccinations, pregnancy testing, urine and blood tests, blood pressure checks, ear syringing and offering general advice. DISTRICT NURSES
District nurses attached to the practice are based at Whalley and work very closely with the doctors. They visit patients at home and are available for dressings, injections, home assessment and numerous other procedures. They will answer your queries, or they will notify the doctor of your problem(s). Please telephone 01254 232061.
HEALTH VISITORS
The health visitors attached to the practice are based at Whalley and assess the development of pre-school children. If you wish to speak to or see a health visitor please ring 01254 828005
MIDWIVES
All Rishton midwife appointments are held at Copperhouse, Station Road, Rishton. (The telephone number for the central community midwife is 01254 293292.) Appointments are made through our reception and they are then passed onto the midwives at Copperhouse who will contact accordingly, telephone number for Copperhouse is 01254 887116. Midwives are usually there on Tuesdays each week and In Great Harwood on Mondays. Midwives at Great Harwood can be seen on Monday between 9am and 2pm please ring 01254 617580 to make an appointment (The Royle Reception)
