General medical services – provided by the doctors by consultation appointments.
Care of chronic diseases e.g. diabetes, asthma, heart and chest diseases, epilepsy, mental health through doctor or practice nurse consultations.
Illness prevention and health promotion – general wellbeing, problems relating to smoking, alcohol, drug abuse and obesity and general lifestyle factors etc through appointments with the doctor and practice nurse.
Counselling services for minor psychological conditions – appointments with Dr P Valluri at both surgery sites, and practice counsellor at the Great Harwood Health Centre surgery.
General and travel vaccinations – appointments with the doctor at both surgery sites or with the treatment room nurse at Great Harwood.
Maternity services – Appointments with the community midwifery team based at Copper House, Station Road Rishton covering Rishton Great Harwood has a midwife clinic on Mondays from 9am to 2pm appointments need to be made. Appointments made via reception staff.
Contraception and pre-pregnancy counselling Services – appointments with doctor at Great Harwood and Rishton.
Child development Services – appointments with Dr H Valluri at Great Harwood and Rishton.
Child Immunisation services – appointments with doctor at Great Harwood and Rishton.
Cervical smears – appointments with Dr H Valluri at both surgery sites and with Practice Nurse.
Mental health services – appointments with Dr P Valluri at Great Harwood and Rishton.
